Customer Review: A Bit Disappointed

Alright, let me first say that I was very excited to get a steamer for my clothes. Second, I was a bit disappointed in the lack of instructions on "how to" press or steam my clothes so that the machine actually worked as desired. The machine is sturdy, well constructed, and the steam pours out of the unit. In fact, from a functional standpoint, it is as good as marketed. Unfortunately, I cannot figure out how to properly and "easily" steam my clothes and there were no directions in the unit to help me learn the craft. So, I will keep trying but, until I get better, my sturdy iron seems to do a better job.

The Rowenta IS-8200 easily removes wrinkles from hanging garments, delicate fabrics, curtains, drapes or slipcovers and can refresh garments for a just ironed look. Superior performance, the 1500-watt heating provides rapid 90 second heat up time and continuous steam output. The UL Commercial rating was built to pass stringent tests including endurance to allow for heavy extended use for commercial or household use. Standby Steam Function- Foot operated standby stops steam in between uses when working on a large project, re-starts in 15 seconds. The one-gallon water tank is removable and provides steam for up to 2.5 hours. The quick release connection system makes assembly and disassembly for storage quick and simple. Foot Operated On/Off - Power switch with indicator light is foot-operated for comfort and ease of use.The IS 8200 comes with 3 accessories for variety of fabrics and garments including an upholstery brush and lint brush. The practical on board accessory storage allows tools to be stored in a convenient and easy way.
